    About Erika

Erika originally hails from sunny South Florida, but upon graduating from Yale moved to slightly less sunny, but no less bright, New York City. Erika loves education and grew up in a household devoted to its pursuit: her father is a 40+ year high school science teacher, and her mother works at her elementary school library. Erika graduated #3 in her high school class of approximately 700, scored in the 99th percentile on both the SAT and ACT when she took them, was a National Merit Scholar and AP Scholar with Distinction, and scored a 5 on eight different AP exams.

When Erika isn’t immersing herself in standardized exams, she loves to act and sing. At Yale, Erika was an active member of her theatre community and performed and toured around the world with her all-senior, SSAA a cappella group, Whim ’n Rhythm! More recently, Erika made her off-broadway debut in the musical “Fiorello!”

Students find Erika’s tutoring style to be warm, light-hearted, driven, and encouraging. She enjoys making the test prep process fun while simultaneously challenging students to continue growing. It is through this dual approach to tutoring that Erika empowers her students to reach their personal potential.
