    About Greg

    Holding degrees from Oberlin College, the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and the California Institute of the Arts, Greg lives in Los Angeles, where he works as a tutor, educator, professional writer, and musician. Over the past decade, he has helped hundreds of students improve their standardized test scores and achieve their academic goals.  

    Greg combines light-heartedness and humor with years of teaching experience and a deep understanding of standardized tests to help students earn higher scores and approach testing with increased confidence.  He also has several years of experience tutoring Executive Functioning, helping students manage gargantuan projects, learn the skills to manage hectic schedules, and complete individualized high school diploma programs.  

    Noteworthy Accomplishments

    • Greg helped a student improve his ACT score by 4 points in 90 minutes of tutoring, allowing that student to accept an athletic scholarship.
    • One of his students advanced from remedial to honors coursework just in time for college application season.

    Fun Facts

    • Greg has a pet rabbit named after Southern Rap icon Bun B. 
    • He makes really good spaghetti. (Greg, not his rabbit.)
