About Jimmy

Jimmy has worked with students in classrooms and one-on-one for over a decade, focusing on college admission exam preparation ever since graduating magna cum laude from Chapman University. Jimmy’s own high school career included perfect scores on the AP Language & Literature, AP US History, and AP Calculus exams. His tutoring students have improved as many as 14 points on the Reading section and 13 points on the English section of the ACT. Jimmy is also one of ArborBridge’s leading US History tutors, supporting the entire tutoring team on AP & Subject Test curriculum development.

An improv performer and stand-up comedian, Jimmy brings enthusiasm and humor to even the most difficult subjects. He employs his background in theater and writing to help students get excited about the humanities, and he can help any student having difficulty in English or history, among many other subjects. He strives for sessions that are approachable and memorable and that support students in all facets of their education, even beyond admissions exams. In his free time, Jimmy performs improv comedy, hosts a baseball podcast, and is always game for any trivia contest that might ensue.
