    About Mark

Mark graduated summa cum laude with undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University and subsequently gained his Ph.D. from Ohio State University, where he received the graduate school’s most prestigious fellowship. He is currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University in Belgium.

A polyglot himself, Mark has always had a passion for language learning and has extensive experience teaching high school and college students both in the foreign language classroom and in study abroad environments. His creative teaching methods, curricular design, and rapport with students were recognized with OSU’s most competitive award for graduate student instructors. Mark’s favorite part about teaching and tutoring is seeing students’ confidence increase as they master new skills.

When he is not teaching or studying languages, Mark enjoys traveling with his partner and spending time outdoors.
