In 2011, ArborBridge emerged from its sister company (and predecessor), Launch Education Group. Prior to 2011, Launch Education Group primarily provided in-home academic tutoring and test preparation to students in Los Angeles and New York City. As Launch’s families traveled abroad, they requested a more flexible tutoring platform that would allow instructors to connect with students wherever they went. Launch’s team immediately began developing an online tutoring model that could match the quality of its in-person programming.
As Launch began piloting its online tutoring programs, a surge of interest came from students outside of the States who were preparing for the SAT and ACT. These students were dissatisfied with their local prep options and wanted access to talented instructors in the US. To meet the rising demand, Launch designed a proprietary SAT/ACT curriculum and amassed a squad of its most distinguished instructors in LA and NYC. Lo and behold, ArborBridge was born!
Since its inception, ArborBridge has continued to hone its online methods, its instructor team, and the fine details of its curriculum. In 2014, it was decided that Launch Education Group, ArborBridge’s sister company, would be subsumed under the ArborBridge banner. Launch’s rich history of working with students – especially its successes in ISEE preparation and its unique brand of academic mentorship – is now a central part of ArborBridge’s story.
To-date, ArborBridge has supported students in over 30 different countries across 6 continents. It is our mission to combine best practices in education with the latest technology to create a world-class test prep and tutoring experience. We are a team of enlivened teachers and nerds that values intellectual curiosity and the empowerment of young minds.
