    About Michelle

    Michelle graduated magna cum laude and with Distinction in the Major from Yale University. Following her time at Yale, she attended Imperial College London, where she earned an MSc in Conservation Science. Currently, she is an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology PhD student at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she studies the effects of climate change on humpback whales in the Western Antarctic Peninsula.

    As a high school student, Michelle was a National Merit Finalist and an AP Scholar of Distinction. In addition, she graduated with a 4.0, scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT, and achieved a score of 800 on the SAT II Math test. In college, she scored a 334 on the GRE with a perfect essay. Her students have seen significant gains throughout the test prep process, and Michelle once helped a student raise her ACT score from 27 to 35.

    Michelle has served as an elite SAT and ACT tutor for students in New York City, London, and Los Angeles since 2012. Michelle cares deeply about the well-being of her students, and families tell Michelle that they appreciate her knack for alleviating their children’s anxiety around the test prep process.

    Noteworthy Accomplishments

    • Michelle scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT, ACT, and GRE, and graduated magna cum laude from Yale University.
    • Michelle passed her 5 day comprehensive PhD exam in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology with flying colors despite never having taken an undergraduate biology course.

    Fun Facts

    • Michelle is a member of the US Antarctic Program and spends time in Antarctica biopsying humpback whales.
    • Michelle is an avid equestrian and has been riding since the age of six.
